Are your pieces detergent and/or fragrance free?
My pieces are not detergent-, dye-, or fragrance-free.
If you are sensitive to commercial or industrial detergents, surfactants, or fragrances, I do not recommend purchasing my work.
Each item is laundered at least three times using various products. Additionally, the washing machine is shared, so I cannot guarantee the absence of specific detergents, fabric softeners, fragrance, or potential cross-contamination.
What is the best way to care for my new tie dye?
The absolute best way to ensure your dyes stay fresh and bright is to hand wash and hang dry. However, I know this is not what most folks prefer to do. If you MUST use a washer, please place your new dyed item in a lingerie bag and wash it alone or with like colors on a delicate cycle, always hang to dry. Please wash your new tie dye before wearing, and wash it alone the first several times. Failure to do so may result in unintentional dye transfer to other fabrics.
